In a previous announcement, Tonto Dikeh made it known that she intended to undergo her third surgery, this time to remove excess belly fat. The news sparked a range of reactions, with some expressing concerns about the potential risks involved in the procedure.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn when a Twitter user claimed to have inside information stating that the popular actress and philanthropist was in critical condition and urgently needed prayers. Tonto Dikeh swiftly refuted these claims, effectively putting an end to any speculations about her health.
Expressing her frustration, Tonto Dikeh voiced her concerns about the way people tend to publicly celebrate and pray when they hear negative news. She drew attention to the discrepancy in the support she received during her campaign for deputy governor of her state compared to the overwhelming prayers and care she now witnesses after undergoing surgery. Despite the negative rumors circulating about her health, Tonto Dikeh assured everyone that her surgery in Enugu State was successful, resulting in her body looking great and her health being in excellent condition.
In a lighthearted manner, she jokingly requested that people direct their prayers towards her recovering half of the money she spent on politics. She emphasized her frustration with the tendency to attract negative responses by publicly praying and giving attention to unverified negative news.
In her own words, Tonto Dikeh stated, “The way we celebrate and pray publicly with clout when we hear bad news is alarming! When I came out for deputy governor of my state, I didn’t see strangers showing care by praying for me. But as soon as you hear one negative, unverified nonsense, you want to pray publicly and attract all those negative responses.
