According to Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the state Commissioner for Transportation, the diversion is necessary to ensure a smooth and safe race. The affected routes include:
- Shoprite Alausa Ikeja to Police College Sports Secretariat/Gym: This route will be partially closed to vehicular movement, starting from Shoprite Alausa Ikeja inwards Billings Way to Kudirat Abiola Way, Opebi Link Bridge, Opebi Glo Tower inward Allen Avenue, Allen Junction.
- GTBank on Adeniyi Jones: This route will be closed to vehicular movement.
- AP Filling Station on Oba Akran Avenue: This route will be closed to vehicular movement.
- Samsung Authorised Service Centre to Police College Sports Secretariat/Gym: This route will be closed to vehicular movement.

To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Police, Federal Road Safety Corps, and Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps will man the barriers and divert traffic accordingly.
