Bafana Bafana of South Africa head coach Hugo Broos has named a 23-man squad for his side’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
Broos initially named a 36-man preliminary squad for the two games. Siyabonga Ngezana, Relebohile Mofokeng and returnee Lyle Foster are the standout new faces.
The Belgian dropped notable faces like Evidence Makgopa, Mihlali Mayambela and Tapelo Xoki and Thabiso Monyane.
South Africa will face the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, June 7 .
Bafana Bafana will host the Warriors at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Tuesday , June 11.
They currently sit in second place in Group C with three points.
